A cyclone dust collector extracts coarse debris, particles, and dust from an exhaust air stream. They are commonly used as the first stage in multiple stage dust collection systems, or as a product separator in air conveying systems.
Centrifugal force applied to the air stream by the cone shaped design results in the separation of larger particulate, allowing gravity to deposit it into a dust storage container placed beneath the cyclone.
The structure of the cyclone dust collector is composed of two inner and outer cylinders, a conical cylinder, an air inlet, and an ash discharge port. The inner and outer cylinders and the ash discharge port are located on the same axis.
After the dust-laden air enters tangentially through the air inlet on the upper part of the outer cylinder at a higher speed, it rotates spirally at high speed from top to bottom between the inner and outer cylinders and the cone. During the rotation, the dust particles are thrown to the inner wall of the outer cylinder under the action of a large centrifugal force and collide with the wall, friction and gradually lose speed, and then fall to the cone part along the wall of the cylinder under the action of gravity, and then from the bottom The ash outlet is discharged. When the airflow approaches the lower end of the cone, due to the air-closing device installed at the outlet, the air cannot flow out from the bottom, and it starts to reverse and rise again, and then is discharged through the inner cylinder.
Because there are no mechanical moving parts inside the cyclone dust collector, it is easy to use and maintain, and the separation efficiency of dust particles above 10 microns can reach more than 95%.
